Currently in Canada there are no formal regulations for becoming a financial planner. This is trying to be reformed by the Canadian Institute of Financial Planners, Association of Canadian Bankers and the Canadian Securities Institute. At the moment the most recognized designation is the Certified Financial Planner, which is awarded by the Financial Planner's Standards Council of Canada. If you are a register CFP in canada, you may also practice in countries such as the U.S, England, Australia etc.

Get your Chartered Financial Analyst designation from the Association for Investment Management Research based in the UNited States. Only then will you be able to fulfill your financial career goals.
